Writing Rainbows! by Fran Fernandez

Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of--infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. -- Ephesians 3:20, TLB.

In the beginning were words--words of God that created the world and all therein. He then bequeaths us words so that we, too, can create a world for our readers.

There are words that breathe with meaning--if you listen carefully, the psyche senses something sweet is coming.

Enlarge and enrich are such words--fragrant with hope. Yet, these words are imprisoned without God. When His writers unlock and fill the words with the power of God--there is indeed no limit to the enlargement of our vision, or to our enriching the world!

Let's lay our writing and publishing vision, hopes and dreams at His feet. If it's the first time, or the millionth time, you have given it to Him, it doesn't matter. Perhaps you've been discouraged or distracted by life's cares and haven't put a finger to a keyboard in years. Maybe you think you don't have what it takes to be a writer. Your vision may seem comatose and smell of impending death.

Possibly you've been so busy writing you've forgotten the vision. You may not even have one, or whatever other reason--just come again to the well, to the Source and Fulfiller of every dream and writing hope. He will give you a new or better vision, or enlarge the one He's given you.

Enter His throne room, run into His open arms, press your ear to His bosom. Be still. Listen to the perfect rhythm of His heart --rest until your two hearts beat as one. Tarry, and then leave enlarged with His love vision for a dark world who unknowingly is longing to be enriched by Him--through you, your vision and your words.

Thank You, Lord, that You created this world with Your words. Help me to know I can bring Your world to others through my words touched by Your Holy Spirit. Give me a new a vision, or confirm the old one, and then grant me determination that I may enrich and enlarge my world through Your beautiful words.
